Magna Carta Weekend Lincoln Castle

Lincoln Castle has re-opened this April 2015 following a £22m renovation.
The work, which has taken four years, has seen a vault built to house one of the original copies of the Magna Carta, ready for its 800th anniversary in June.
A new wall walk has been installed and the Victorian prison will also reopen to visitors.
The high-security underground vault will house the 1215 Magna Carta, alongside an original copy of the Charter of the Forest, which was signed two years later will be displayed.
National Road Race Championships 25th/26th/27th/28th June 2015
Lincolnshire is hosting the Road Race Championships for the first time.
British cycling fans can look forward to events on two wheels as Lincoln plays host to some of the biggest names in cycling with professional riders appearances such as Sir Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Chris Froome, Lizzie Armitstead and defending road race champion, Laura Trott and former Lincoln Grand Prix winner Peter Kennaugh.
The championships kick-off in style on the opening day of East Lindsey District Council and Magna Vitae’s So Festival on Thursday 25th June 2015 with the National Time Trial Championships taking place at the fantastic Cadwell Park Motor Racing Circuit (45 minutes from Cherry Tree) and taking in the undulating terrain of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
